The Dingley Hotel

Every now and again, when travelling extensively, on a reasonably tight budget, one comes across a place of accommodation that simply exudes a five-star rating for a budget price. Such is the Dingley Hotel. Despite arriving well before check in time (courtesy of international flight scheduling), the receptionist was not only very welcoming, but was also incredibly accommodating in that she arranged for would be allowed into my room. Indeed, not only were the staff at reception friendly and helpful on arrival, their friendliness and assistance continued each time you entered or left the hotel throughout the entire stay. A very rare treat of hospitality. The room was very large, containing two very comfortable beds (although only one was used), an array of furniture, including a table and chairs, dresser, bedside cabinets, mini bar and Television. It also provided exceptional storage areas. It was also well carpeted. Coffee and Tea was also provided, along with biscuits that were actually replaced each day. Another rarity. The bathroom was spacious and well provided with towels, face cloths and complimentary toiletries. Also had a decent sized shower. They are located a little away from the greater metropolis, which can be easily reached by short car or public transport journeys. However, they also have an on-site restaurant that has quite an extensive menu for very reasonable prices. However, I have not included my rating for this as part of the rating for the accommodation, as this would have decreased the overall rating. Would I return…absolutely. Now my favoured place of accommodation when visiting Melbourne.

The cleanliness and the clean up service during the day , lovely customer service 🥰 the cleaners and receptionist and bistro employees kind customer service really made my day each day we were there.

We stayed 5 nights and had a very comfortable stay. Very spacious room, 2 king beds with lots of room to move about the room. Modern bathroom and ample storage for luggage. Ceiling to floor windows gave the room lovely light and block out curtains kept the room nice and dark in the morning. Beds were super comfy. Staff are lovely and pleasant to deal with. The hotel common areas were very neat and our room was always well cleaned. Kids loved the pool and the complimentary gated parking area was perfect for our needs. The rooms were nice and quiet and had everything you could need. The bistro at the Dingley hotel was the perfect place for a family catch-up. We ate there twice and the meals and service from Abby was excellent. Loved being able to walk back to our room after a couple of drinks with dinner. Great value for money. We look forward to returning.

This place is value for money! We travelled from Sydney to Melbourne for the Swifty concert LOL. It really is a hidden Gem. It had everything we needed for a family of 2 adults, a teen and a toddler. We didn’t have to break the bank. Check in staff were lovely, we got everything we needed in our room, 2 comfortable beds, great shower, foxtel, the usual necessities in a room. Loved the block out curtains. We were honestly happy to hang and chill in our room. Bathroom was very clean and so was the room. We were very happy with our stay
